eCommerce Remarketing With Google Shopping

Ever wanted to reconnect with people who visited your ecommerce store but then left without buying or opting in to your newsletter?

Now you can!

Google have launched a new feature called dynamic remarketing which is available to all e-commerce retailers who have a Google Merchant Centre Account.

If you are not sure what a Google Merchant Centre is, then we encourage you to read this article first.

This new feature makes it easier to create ads which feature some of the products that your customer viewed before they disappeared into the horizon.

If your worried that remarketing is a waste of time or money, think again!

Just because your prospect didn’t buy the first time, it doesn’t mean that they aren’t going to buy.

A heavy metal online shop that used this feature grew their conversion rates by 230% by employing this tactic alone.

Remarketing works!

If you think about it, your potential customer could have been:

  • Researching and comparing different products
  • Price shopping
  • Gotten distracted by their children, their spouse, a door knocker, a telephone call or even the kettle boiling.
  • Accidentally closed their browser
  • Wanting to discuss their purchase with a partner before they buy

There are a raft of reasons why people don’t buy and many are not your fault.

Therefore your challenge is to remind them about the product they were looking at and encourage them to buy.

If you are worried about brand integrity and managing such a large array of banner ads, think again.

Along with this new feature are a number of different templates which can be used. You pick the template (or let us) and upload your logo and then the ads with the products and layout are generated dynamically, so each visitor sees an specific to their interests based on their past browsing history.

Among these are templates that show:

  • single images with carousels
  • multiple images with rotating products
  • featured products
  • featured products with small thumbnails
  • thumbnail galleries
